The Meadfurlong Governors
This website is intended to give you an introduction to the life and work of the School.
This school in Fishermead has been open since 1980. During this time it has developed into a thriving lively school with some 340 children and a staff of 15 full time equivalent teachers plus a team of 11 teaching assistants.
It is helping children and their families to establish themselves in the new city and has become an essential part of the Fishermead/Odbrook neighbourhood.
The role of the Governors is to consult with the Headteacher, the staff, the Council and parents through their representatives about the running of the school and in general to support their aims and aspirations.
We are delighted that the staff will continue to provide the best education possible for the children and with the support of you, the parents, and the Governors, Meadfurlong will continue to be an ideal social and learning environment for the children during their primary school life.
Obviously the ideal way of learning about a school is to see it at work and we, at Meadfurlong, always welcome parents and prospective parents into the school
We are proud of our progress and achievements at Meadfurlong and look forward to welcoming your child into our school community.
