SCHOOL CLOSURE

Teachers Industrial Action – 30th June 2011

Dear Parents,

I have been informed by the members of NUT and ATL that they intend to follow the recommendation to take strike action on Thursday 30th June 2011.

As this involves the majority of the teaching staff I will have no option but to close the school for the day as I cannot guarantee the health and safety of the children nor can I make alternative provision for their education in these circumstances.

I realise that this is very difficult for parents and this decision has not been taken lightly but you may wish to make plans for the supervision of your child for that day. I do apologise for this announcement but I cannot see any alternative at the moment
